Record Store Day UK is proud to announce its latest collaboration with Meantime Brewing Company and launch Double Groove, the official beer of Record Store Day 2023.
The unique character of this year’s brew is a fitting tribute to every single one of the knowledgeable, dedicated team members behind the counters at the hundreds of independent record shops taking part in this year’s event across the UK on April 22nd.
The beer will launch on Meantime’s web shop https://shop.meantimebrewing.com/on Mon 3rd of April, with 50p per bottle going to RSDUK’s official charity partner War child. Draught pints will be served exclusively at the brewery’s taproom, with £1 of every pint also being donated.
As part of the celebrations of the teams and stores that keep vital parts of local music scenes thriving, Double Groove will also be available in selected shops on the 22nd April.
Joe Gardner, Head Brewer at Meantime, said Double Groove IPA is “the ultimate hop duo!”.
“We’ve mixed American Citra and British Admiral hops to create a full-bodied IPA that’ll get you into the groove this Record Store Day.
“Double Groove features 50% US & 50% UK varieties, bringing together complementary flavours to create a distinct and unique beer. This is our third year as official beer partner to RSD UK and this beer symbolises the important relationship between the US and UK, both musically and in beer. Cheers!”
Music-lovers visiting their local record store and raising a glass of Double Groove on April 22nd will also receive limited edition Meantime t-shirts and tote bags at participating record stores (while stocks last). And for those who miss out, Record Store Day and Meantime official merchandise will be available to through the Meantime e-Shop, https://shop.meantimebrewing.com/.
